From a new beginning — or a return — to lifelong holiness.
Holy Journey exists to help parishes and adults carry a new beginning or a return forward — so Catholic faith can take root in ordinary life and continue toward mission and holiness.

A need encountered personally.
Holy Journey began with a need Kevin and Nasrin Krebs encountered personally: what happens after someone returns to the Catholic faith or enters the Church and begins learning how to live that faith in ordinary life?
Kevin was raised Catholic but drifted away from the Church, particularly in his twenties. When he returned in his thirties, he came back with a deeper understanding that the Catholic faith was not meant to remain at the edge of life. It was meant to shape its center — prayer, marriage, family, decisions, service, and hope.
Nasrin was born in Iran, where public Christian witness can carry serious risk. She encountered Jesus Christ through the underground Christian movement. That journey eventually led her into the Catholic Church. After becoming Catholic, she experienced both the joy of entering the Church and the need for a clearer continuing path: relationships, formation, parish belonging, and practical accompaniment toward lifelong holiness.
Together, Kevin and Nasrin recognized that this was not only their story. Many new Catholics begin with sincerity and joy, yet the months after initiation can bring isolation, uncertainty, and a lack of direction. Holy Journey was created to help parishes accompany that important first year so that a good beginning can become a stable, lifelong Catholic life.
Their marriage vocation is at the heart of the mission. Through marriage, raising their children, their own experiences of conversion, and service in parish life, Kevin and Nasrin have come to understand Holy Journey as a shared way of serving Christ and His Church.
Since 2022, they have been involved in parish ministries including Alpha, OCIA, Bible studies, and faith formation. Across these experiences, one conviction has continued to deepen: a parish should be more than a place people attend. In Christ, it is a family of brothers and sisters who pray, learn, serve, and help one another grow.
Holy Journey exists so that new Catholics can become rooted in ordinary parish life, build relationships in Christ, discover their place in the Church, and continue along the lifelong path of discipleship and holiness.

Founders of Holy Journey · Serving Christ and His Church

“In Christ, the parish is a family of brothers and sisters who pray, learn, serve, and grow together.”

Kevin and Nasrin Krebs
Kevin and Nasrin Krebs are the founders of Holy Journey, a Catholic formation pathway focused on the first full year after initiation or reception into the Church. Their shared ministry experience includes Alpha, OCIA, Bible studies, and faith formation. As spouses and parents, they are committed to helping parishes become communities in which new Catholics are known, supported, formed, and invited into mission.
No one beginning or returning to Catholic life should have to figure it out alone.
Holy Journey helps parishes accompany newly initiated Catholics and Catholics returning to the Church as they become rooted in ordinary Catholic life, mature in discipleship, discover vocation and their place in the Church, and continue toward lifelong holiness.
Within the life of His Church.
Holy Journey receives the faith taught by the Catholic Church through Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, the Magisterium, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and authoritative Catholic sources. The Church is not an organizational container around the program; formation takes place within her sacramental, communal, doctrinal, liturgical, vocational, and missionary life.
Made to strengthen what is already good.
Holy Journey can serve alongside evangelization, OCIA, prayer ministry, Alpha, CCO Faith Studies, and the many ways a parish welcomes and accompanies people. It offers a connected formation path for the next steps after a good beginning.

Rooted in the Vocation of Family
Holy Journey flows from everyday family discipleship — learning to live prayer, love, and service in ordinary Catholic home life.

Ordinary Life, Sanctified
Faith is not confined to church buildings — it takes root in parks, meals, marriages, and everyday moments of thanksgiving.

Accompaniment in Community
A shared way of serving Christ and His Church so no new or returning Catholic walks the journey alone.
“speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him”
Ephesians 4:15 NASB 1995
Truth and love belong together in mature Christian formation.
